Meet Karine Akopchikyan

Karine is a business and real estate litigator with extensive experience representing individuals, companies, and property owners in high-stakes disputes. Karine founded Akopchikyan Law Corporation to provide sophisticated litigation services with the efficiency, responsiveness, and value clients expect from a dedicated boutique.

Prior to founding her firm, Karine was Senior Counsel at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a national law firm recognized by Chambers USA for excellence in real estate law. While at Allen Matkins, Karine directed litigation strategy from inception to resolution of each case. Karine has earned individual industry recognition, including selection to The Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch (2025) and Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2020–2025).

Karine’s practice focuses on business and real estate disputes, including breach of contract claims, ownership and control conflicts, landlord-tenant conflicts, and business torts, including fraud, interference with contractual relationships, and unfair competition. In addition to her litigation work, Karine serves as a trusted advisor and outside general counsel to businesses and entrepreneurs, guiding clients through a range of operational, transactional, and crisis-related matters.

Karine earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While at Gould, she served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Ronald S.W. Lew of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Outside of her practice, Karine remains active in her alumni and professional communities. She recently served as President of the USC Gould Alumni Association and was a member of the USC Gould Board of Councilors. She currently chairs the Outreach Committee of the Armenian Women’s Bar Association.
